Pleasures is situated in Kent, the garden of England. Maggie & Steve own a beautiful house set in private grounds, surrounded by fields and woodland. Both Maggie & Steve have lived in Kent for all of their lives and have decided to host private parties, as they found there was a need for them in this part of the country. Went a couple of months ago. Place was clean and well looked after but the evening was completely ruined by two young idiots hammering violently on the door of a playroom, first of all offering cash to watch then to join in and eventually demanding to be let in. Very upsetting for my partner. When we complained to the owner he said "I'll talk to them" but failed to do so even though they were standing just feet away. Then he said he'd speak to the father-in-law of one of them. What?? Owner could see we were angry and evening spoilt, and kept trying to convince us this was a one-off when we said it was our first visit, but he didn't even offer us a partial refund or even a drink from the bar by way of apology. Hopeless customer service. Interestingly I see we're not the only ones to have suffered from young nen behaving badly there - so much for it being a "one-off". debbie & kevin 01 Dec 2015 04:23:55 PM We have been going to pleasures for over 5 year it is by far the best club in kent great for new couple as very friendly a bit like going to a friends house party just with more sexyer people lol .It can be quite on non fancy dress nites but not always the case you just never know so what are you waiting for give it a try and you might just bump into us there lol Gary 01 Dec 2015 11:08:03 AM Went there last Saturday night with a lady friend who had never swung before and was curious about the lifestyle and swinging. Although it was a quite night, we were greeted by Maggie and she made us very welcome. Everyone there was very friendly and keen to show us how nice it was there. We liked the clean facilities and friendliness of everyone. So much so, my lady friend wants to go back and take advantage of everything the club has to offer ! Woohoo! Thanks Maggie and Steve! Very relaxed and no pressure atmosphere. Lots of playrooms and very clean. Made to feel very welcome by Maggie and Steve and Phil behind the bar was brill. Didnt play but we are fairly new so it may take a couple of times although me and hubby did have a bit of fun in one of the open rooms by ourselves and discovered that we quite enjoyed being watched. Have always been made to feel very welcome including our first night. Facilities are excellent with always something happening somewhere to either watch or participate in. Mixed ages & a great, friendly environment. Had invitations to play from some lovely people, but as our first time there we wished to just play between the 2 of us. Made use of some of the plenty facilities, especially the caged/viewing room where we 2 played together & (hopefully) provided some entertainment for the viewers!!. We will be back! Stayed at the nearby PremierInn and used the taxi service of John, bit of a star all round.(Steve can give you his number) The club is a small house with the lounge being a chill room and a "temporary" structure at the rear that has a soft drinks bar and some seating. Upstairs there are 2 play rooms and a loo. From the bar area you go outside and down a path to more play rooms and the jacuzzis which are housed in a purpose built ground floor and subterranean block. Everything is neat and clean and well maintained with plenty of wipes and sprays to clean up after yourselves. The staff are great and the guests are a nice mix of ages and types. It was quite quiet that night but we still had great fun and met some lovely players and the midnight hot dogs and sausages were SUPERB! Our suggestions are :- 1. The music in the main building was a soft disco type which was OK but we felt that the music in the "play block" was a bit wishy washy, romantic slush and several people said that a more smooth, throbbing, sensual music would improve the sexy mood, examples of the type of music we thought would go down well are Enigma, bassy trance music, something with a good pulse beat that the ladies can gyrate or strip off sexily to not Diana Ross "Touch me in the morning"!! 2. The smokers area is right outside the bar door on the path to the "play block" and smells of smoke even when no-one is there. Why not put it outside the door leading to the big Koi carp pond at the bottom end of the bar area thereby saving non smokers from suffering a mood killing whiff of the pong as they head down to play block. 3. We would make the lounge area more of a warm up room with the music being a bit louder and with the pole it could get the mood started. We would use the bar area more for the chilling and socialising. The ladies we were with certainly wanted to have a dance and tried out the pole. All said we really enjoyed it and will go back again. Fiona & Glenn 12 Nov 2011 10:03:18 AM We found clean and well thought out, although placing the midnight snacks where the dance pole effectively took it out of the evening, which disappointed Fiona, and stopped her putting on a show. Charging for mixers in drinks was perhaps excessive especially as they were poured from 3 litre bottles, which cost very little. Parked up and was greeted by the hostess after paying our dues (£30) leaving our drinks at the bar we and another first time visitor cpl were shown around the venue by Ali who was celebrating her birthday. Some parts of the place were still undergoing a refit so in some places wasn’t so neat n tidy. (Understandable in the circumstances.) After returning to the bar getting our drinks was somewhat surprised being charged for soft drinks considering the high cost of entry. We settled in a nice corner area awaiting the arrival of some friends on their arrival we then carried on having fun. We enjoyed the free bbq later in the evening sausages burgers ribs etc all cooked and tasty. The venue was clean and the guests were spread about the place we didn’t see many playing while we ventured about the place, most guests were friendly and of all shapes sizes and ages. Some places could do with an update, perhaps a cinema room with sound for those who like hear the movies as well as look. On this occasion of our visit the music wasn’t very good in our opinion and did nothing to create a sexy atmosphere we didn’t see anyone dancing at all. All in all we had a nice time and will be returning again sooner rather than later. Next time hope it don’t rain so much. We found the established couples friendly although as newbies we had to make the first move but once we did we felt very at home. It is a really friendly & warm venue. Will defiantly be going back. The place was immaculate, clean, & very well run. Alison, the hostess, gave us the "tour". Maggie & Steve and all their staff are wonderful and always willing to listen if you have any concerns. It's a friendly place with no pressure. Yes some nights are better than others but they are only as good as you make them. It does depend on the mix of people on the night. For a real fun time try going on a theme night as they go all out to get the right atmosphere. Miss behavin' 19 Jul 2008 11:19:21 AM We have been going to pleasures since it opened 3 years ago. It is the best club we have been to. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are always new people and they are made to feel welcome. The saturday nights tend to be the busiest as they are couples only and every few weeks there is a themed night which are extremely busy. Alternate Friday nights, the club welcomes single men along with the couples. These nights are relatively new to pleasures and not yet as busy as the couples nights BUT they continue to get busier as time goes on. We have had some great nights with single guys on the fridays and the busiest nights aren't always the best!!! All the people that go to Pleasues are genuine swingers looking for sexy fun and judging by the amount that come back time and time again, they find it! I know we do! The owners are friendly and always take the time to make sure the guests are happy. The facilities are very clean and well laid out, with something to suit almost everyones taste. They provide a buffet throughout the evening and hot food later into the night. There is a good mixture of people that attend the parties with no clicky business in sight. The saturday parties are restricted to couples only and they have a party once a month on a friday for couples and singles. They do maintain a ratio of single guys for these parties to enable everyone to have a good time without any pressure. THE best place in Kent, if not the South East. If you're a first timer this is the place to go as there is no pressure whatsoever to do anything you don't want to. It's always spotless and the hosts, Maggie and Steve, make a real effort to ensure everyone has a good time and does'nt feel left out. The themed party nights are fantastic with most people dressing up and getting into the swing of it (so to speak). All in all a great venue and one we would definitely recommend for beginners and experienced swingers alike. Well done! CHATTERBOX 21 Mar 2007 11:57:27 AM We have been visiting this club for 18 months now, and have always had a great time - this is due to the friendly, relaxed atmosphere. It's VERY clean and well run. It's in a private house exclusively used for parties, in secluded grounds and your car is off the road, again, in a secluded car park. Maggie and Steve (the owners) always greet new visitors on the door and offer a guided tour of the club's facilities. These facilities include a bar area - bring your own booze,(with pole if you're brave enough! lol) and buffet area, with the smoking area just off this room. These two areas are strictly social areas only, so if you are new to the club scene, or don't enjoy watching others play, you have no need to worry! The two jacuzzies which are off the terraced garden again, are very clean and again, a strict no sex rule in the jacuzzies mean you can have a relaxing time without worrying what else is in the water! lol. The new sauna also provides a great place to build up steam hehe! We would recommend Pleasures to anyone looking for a fun night. We would also like to add that we have never experienced folks there being cliquey - everyone there makes you feel right at home, and are happy to say hi. Well done Pleasures!
